London Riots

They're incredibly stupid.
I mean really, anybody with a sense of morality will agree with me and needs no persuasion. ("My chest full of consumer electronics disagrees!")

But as it is, if they come close to where I live I will just go out and smash people's faces in. Probably with a cricket bat.

For those of you who aren't quite educated on the matter -
It was triggered by the (entirely justified) shooting of a drug dealer in Tottenham.
He shot at police, and the police shot him back. He died.
Now for about two hours, peaceful protest against the police, but now it's just become an excuse for idiots and chavs to go rioting. It's still happening today, and it's still stupid. People are using it as an excuse to get free things.

It's just needless violence, completely and utterly causeless.

At least, for once, there can't be any anti-immigrant or even anti-Muslim rhetoric - Heard reports of Asians/Middle-Easterns/Turks fighting off rioters. That's Nick Griffin's day ruined.

Just Google image search London Riots if you really want to see pictures.

Aw yes I'm happy Homestuck is actually getting interesting for me again. I'm really having fun reading it now.

End of Act 5 should be coming up soon, and considering Hussie's progression in Flash, it should be fantastic.

Sorry for no real content! Hahah.

Martial arts and such

So I'm a martial artist. I've been doing ju jitsu for about 6 months now and recently took up White Crane.

Ju jitsu is rather practical for a fight as it encourages biting, hair pulling, scratching if you need to defend yourself, as well as dealing with armed opponents. Stuff is pretty fun!

White Crane is pushing my body, I have to put in much more effort, it's fantastic stuff.

The problem is how much it eats into family funds. I want to be able to earn and pay for them myself.

I'll take up Capoeira when I have the money, too. Capoeira is badass.

Next post will probably relate to something that doesn't involve physical effort!

Humble Indie Bundle

Righty ho chaps.

The Humble Indie Bundle is a thing that exists. It's quite good.

Now you can pay what you like, and I have a bunch of money that is useless anywhere that isn't on the internet, so I'm willing to buy you folks copies if you ask nicely :D

There ya go.

Movies and stuff

So yesterday I went to summer school

We are making movies.

I think I'm discovering a slight aptitude for it, but I've noticed most of my inspiration comes from music.

Thus I may start making music videos.

Anyway, I'll post something relevant to your interests... later...

someone requested Stone Soup vs NetHack, I might have a go at that.

Stone Soup log #1

So I played more Stone Soup today. Demonspawn Berserker.

Demonspawn mutate as they level up, I got to level 9 and only mutated twice, both very useful. One gave me regen on defeating opponents, and the other gave me horns, so I was given a secondary attack in the form of headbutts

Berserkers follow Trog, a god of carnage and violence. Kill things and sacrifice their corpses and he'll love you! He also hates magic and magic users, kill them too.

He grants you first off the ability to berserk and kill things very very quickly.

Later he gives you abilities that grant regen and magic resistance and the ability to summon berserking companions.

I died to a hill giant because I was exhausted and couldn't berserk in game :(

I might post something worthwhile in the future!

Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup

That ^ Up there is a link

Dungeon Crawl is a roguelike! It's fun.

It's much simpler than Nethack, daddy of the common roguelike and much easier to not die, but no easier to win. I think my best character has hit level 12, a Spriggan Assassin.

Now the game is VERY fun and VERY addictive.

There's a selection of races, but classes don't restrict you in the slightest - your character can grow in whichever way you deem necessary. There's a lot to say but I'm going to play it again!

I might make a post as a guide or maybe a text based let's play via the blog.

Looks like I'ma start blogging now.

I'll post whatever really takes my fancy.

I like gaming, music, books, all that good stuff.

My first post will probably be about Dwarf Fortress or Dungeon Crawl, but I might post about the Decemberists or some such.
